First-place victor at the 2012 LA and Toronto IMATS (International Makeup Artists Trade Show), Darla Edin has gained critical acclaim in numerous special effects competitions. After graduating from Vancouver Film School, Darla worked as a freelance makeup artist and teaching assistant within the Makeup Design Program. Armed with first-hand experience, Darla moved back home to Minneapolis to further her special effects career. Most recently, Darla's work as head of the makeup department contributed to the success of the indie film Solitude, which was an official selection for the 2014 Twin Cities Film Festival and winner of the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature.
