As a hard-working intern at Amalgamated Dynamics, an Academy Award-winning character effects studio, Alan Carnes contributed to massive blockbuster hits, including X-Men: First Class. Alongside the studio's co-owner, Alan built set pieces and offered his special effects makeup services to various projects. Two career-making props that Alan is particularly proud of include a werewolf puppet which appeared in Luna, an acclaimed independent horror film, and a 36-foot chainmail accent belt featured in Warner Bros.' Man of Steel. A proud father, Alan teaches his children that truly special art can come from anywhere and can be produced with any budget.
